New Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari says Didier Drogba is “200%” part of his plans at Stamford Bridge.
The Ivory Coast striker, 30, has been linked with a move away from the club, with AC Milan and Barcelona reported to be lining up offers.
But in his first media conference in England as Blues boss, Scolari said: “I saw Didier on Monday and I saw him happy. We had a good conversation.
“Is he part of my plans? Yes, 100%. No, 200%. I like him and want him to stay.”
On Friday, Barcelona vice-president Ferran Soriano suggested the Catalans were close to signing the frontman.
And AC Milan technical director Leonardo told BBC Sport on Monday: “It’s no secret we’re interested in signing a forward and are studying candidates.
“Drogba is a fine player. We are waiting for the right time to move.”
Spanish giants Real Madrid and AC’s city rivals Inter Milan are also rumoured to be interested but it has been reported that Chelsea are yet to receive a single offer for Drogba.
